- The “All About You” Interview
On average, British Columbian’s spend 70% of their time in their homes. Without getting too personal, we’ll want to know what you do there. What’s your daily routine? Are you big on entertaining? Do you spend a lot of time together as a family? Do you have pets? Of course we’ll cover the basics too, like the number of bedrooms and bathrooms you’ll need.
- Functional Layout
Based on our interview, the Hunfeld design team will create a basic layout for your new home. The functional layout is based on spatial relationships, like having the nursery near the master bedroom and a playroom adjacent to the home office. The layout also deals with the size of rooms.
- Building Systems
Choosing the right building systems for your new home are important decisions. With the advances in technology, the choices can be overwhelming. We’ll take the time to ensure that you understand the costs and the benefits of the various options available in heating, cooling, lighting, security, and home automation.
- Detailed Plans and Interior Design
This is the step where our sensible splendour credo really shines! We’ll recommend the most cost effective ways for you to add those special touches that will bring distinctive personality to your new home.
Then we’ll prepare detailed architectural sketches and building plans. Once you’ve given your approval, we’ll take care of all of the necessary details.
- Construction
It may seem like a long process to get to the construction phase, but it usually takes less than three months. The actual build time varies, but we’ll let you know in advance and pride ourselves on completing our work on time and on budget.
All Hunfeld home construction is closely supervised by qualified and experienced journeyman. Projects are personally inspected by Sander Hunfeld on a daily basis to ensure the high quality results our many happy clients have come to expect.
